Youth holidays 75% travel costs covered, and nearly 100% of the stay ...

The European Union aligns itself to never have a 3rd World War. One of the ways to prevent this was for every adult organisation to create a youth organisation and set-up youth exchange programs.  This way peace is really embedded in society as people get to know each other in a positive, constructive way.  Europe also wants to create Europeans, and what better way to make youngster from all over Europe come together around topics that are interesting to them and travel to each others countries?

Conditions: most of the time, you have to get 3 groups from 3 different nationalities on a same topic together, draft a program and financial plan and hand it in.

3. As you will notice, the Ministries of Youth provide money to cover your stay and meals for 100% and your travel for about 75%.

- make sure you train kids and youngsters in thinking good-evil, black-white, yes-no versus collaboration

- think in terms of us versus them, we versus they, 

- train to generalize and extrapolate: all ... are bad, e.g. all of them are bad, so all of us are good

- don't bother to learn the abc: a-level = read the Universal Declaration of Human Rights before the age of 14, learn about Agenda 21, know what a peace bomb is, learn how to debunk "conspiracy theories"

My life as 38th EU recognized Youth Trainer - How do you become one?

Hi, and thanks for your time reading this blog.

Allow me to assume you're amazed as most people don't even know there is something like a Youth Trainers recognition on EU level or that the European Union cares about Youth at all.

This is the website of the organisation that is managing the database of EU-recognized Youth Trainers:
Salto-Youth Training & Resources for the EU Youth Program

The EU tries to stay as small and cheap as possible so many tasks are outsourced to e.g. non governmental organisations that have been working on a certain subject for years, in this case: Salto.

The EU thinks Youth, Kids, Young Adults and Adults and Adult-Organisations should take special care in linking up with Youth, Kids and Young Adults.

How I came the 38th Youth Trainer in the Youth Trainer database ?
Well... because:

1. I met the quality criteria, and keep meeting the criteria because every year you can get kicked-out of the database
2. have been active in Youth Organisations when I was a Youngster, 
3. because I'm still involved in Youth Training activities - well more shifting to giving advise to adult organistions that want to develop leadership in working with Youth, Kids and Young Adults
4. because I was very early in working with the internet and knew Salto and was one of the first to apply and fulfill the requirements
